On 22 December 2023, BYD announced the construction of a new energy vehicle production base in Szeged, Hungary, which will be built in phases. The new production base is planned to adopt globally advanced process equipment and highly automated production processes to create a world-leading new energy vehicle manufacturing base.

Job Description

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing, handling, and resolving customer and manufacturing quality issues, planning and improving inspection documents, monitoring quality targets, supporting new product trial production, managing non-conforming products, and driving continuous quality improvement within the plant. You will cooperate closely with production, technical, engineering, service, and other related departments to ensure stable product quality, process capability, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

1. Analyze, handle, and resolve customer quality issues and manufacturing process quality issues to meet customer expectations, improve product quality, and continuously increase customer satisfaction.

2. Plan, prepare, maintain, and improve inspection documents, including one-sequence-one-inspection, regular inspection, patrol inspection, dynamic inspection, control documents, and related quality records.

3. Track the achievement of quality targets in each production section, including static, dynamic, and debugging sections, and follow up on corrective actions in case of non-achievement.

4. Support trial production and quality control of new products, develop new product quality management plans, and monitor implementation to achieve the target quality level.

5. Collect and statistically analyze process quality data, finished and semi-finished product failure causes, process capability issues, and production quality trends, then develop improvement proposals.

6. Manage non-conforming products, confirm disposal results, support factory shutdown, rework, repair, incoming material, collateral damage, and claim-related processes, collect on-site evidence, and initiate claim documentation approval.

7. Verify key positions, evaluate key equipment parameter changes, confirm product compliance after changes, provide timely product information and technical support, and complete other job-related tasks assigned by the direct superior.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Management, or a related field.

2. Relevant professional experience in quality engineering, manufacturing quality, process quality control, customer quality, new product quality planning, non-conforming product management, or automotive manufacturing is preferred.

3. English and Hungarian language skills are required; Chinese language knowledge is an advantage.

4. Knowledge of production processes, product application, production technologies, quality management methods, inspection documentation, process control, statistical data analysis, quality target tracking, technical standards, and company management regulations.

5. Strong learning ability, analytical thinking, comprehension, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with a conscientious, active, responsible, precise, proactive, and innovation-oriented working attitude.
