Our company is looking for a new colleague for the position of Senior Payroll Specialist , who would like to work in a stable workplace and become part of a great team!

Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute end-to-end payroll processes for the Hungary site(s), ensuring accurate and timely monthly, mid-month payroll processing.

• Independently calculate payroll elements (e.g., base pay, overtime/shift allowances, bonuses, benefits, deductions) and ensure correct handling of absences and time & attendance inputs, validate calculations, review payroll outputs, and resolve discrepancies.

• Ensure payroll accounting entries and reporting are compliant with Hungarian Labor Code and align them with internal policies.

• Maintain payroll data accuracy and confidentiality; manage employee payroll records and support payroll-related audits and internal controls.

• Preparing and filing tax and social security contribution returns; recording and maintaining records of exemptions, family allowances, tax credits, garnishment and personal allowances.

• Performing tasks related to the establishment and termination of employment relationships (official filings, documents), as well as tracking and managing changes.

• Preparing employer statements, income statements, and other certificates, as well as tax returns

• Submitting data reports (Hungarian Central Statistical Office—annual, quarterly), preparing reports and statistics for and regulatory authorities

• Provide professional support to employees and stakeholders by handling payroll inquiries and explaining payroll components in a clear, compliant manner.

• Cooperate closely with Division HR, Finance colleagues and business leaders to continuously improve payroll processes, efficiency, and compliance.

• Prepare regular payroll reports and analytics (headcount, labor cost, variances), and support ad-hoc requests from management.

• Support statutory reporting and cooperation with relevant authorities as required, and ensure documentation is up to date.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, with at least 5-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

• Advance knowledge level of labor and employment law.

• Able to handle payroll-related work independently for a large workforce (over 500 employees).

• Monitoring the current legal environment (Labor Code, tax and social security laws) and implementing changes.

• Knowledge of integrated payroll and time-tracking systems (Nexon EHR knowledge is an advantage).

• Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

• Fluent Hungarian and capable to communicate English as a working language.

• Strong hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll calculation.

• Positive attitude, strong work motivation, high resilience, and strong adaptability.

• Experience gained in a multinational, matrix organization.
